Jessica Kelly Siobhan Ryan Bio

Jessica Kelly Siobhan Reilly, an English actress. Her role in After Miss Julie, at the Donmar Warehouse (2003 - 2004) was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award. Her TV and film credits include Eden Lake (2008) and Sherlock Holmes (2009). Reilly was the daughter of Jack Kelly, a former police officer, as well as a hospital receptionist's mom. She was educated at Tolworth Girls School in Kingston where she took GCSE drama. Her grandparents are Irish. Reilly wrote to the creators of the television show Prime Suspect to ask for work. Six months later she auditioned for a role in an episode of Prime Suspect 4: Inner Circle which was aired on ITV on the 7th of May, 1995. The actress was featured in the episode "Bramwell", a period drama series on TV, with her as Kathleen Le Saux, a woman who is a troubled wife. Six years later, she starred with Helen Mirren on Last Orders. She was a part of four shows with Terry Johnson: Elton John's Glasses (1997), The London Cuckolds (1998), The Graduate (2000), and Piano/Forte (2006). Johnson composed Piano/Forte for her and wrote, "Kelly is possibly the most natural, dyed in the wool deep-in the-bone actress I've worked with." Reilly claims that Karel Resz who directed her in The Yalta Game (Dublin) in 2001, taught her the most about acting. She added, "He was my masterclass." There is no way I could have had the chance to be able to portray Miss Julie if I hadn't performed that role."
