Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the United States is an actress, comedian, and activist. Her parents were Jewish parents in the Soviet Union and started her career as child actress after she immigrated to the United States. In AT&T commercials she played the character as Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 through 2016 and the year 2020. She also was a regular series regular on Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also played a regular role in the NBC drama This Is Us 2016-2017. Vayntrub has also been the voice of Squirrel girl in Marvel Rising since 2018, after being cast in the TV pilot that was never aired New Warriors. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. Her parents, who were at the age of two, came to America as refugees from antisemitism. They were settled in West Hollywood. Her family's financial difficulties led to her acting in Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of 5. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School. But, she quit her sophomore year, and subsequently obtained an GED. Then she went on to earn an Associate of Arts degree in Communication from University of California San Diego. She was introduced to improv comedy through the Upright Citizens Brigade.
